Federal’s Gold Medal line is renowned as a match-grade factory ammunition option. The series already includes many loadings in popular target cartridges like 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Winchester, and .223 Remington. 6mm ARC has been gaining traction as a precision AR cartridge, and it is a logical addition to this product line. It couples high ballistic coefficient 6mm bullets with an overall length short enough to fit in the confines of an AR-15.
Federal uses a Gold Medal Match primer and loads the Berger 108-grain BT Target bullet. Berger lists a 0.522 G1 BC and a 0.268 G7 BC for this projectile. It has a minimum twist rate of 1:8. Federal’s loading has a published velocity of 2,650 FPS, but no barrel length is listed in connection with that figure.
