Right Handed
What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
Love that my whole hand fits. The 43 was just too short no room for my pinky with the 43x is just the perfect size for me. I also love the size of this gun. It’s easy to conceal.
Tell us about shooting this gun.
This gun feels like it’s an extension of my hand. It has little recoil for me.
How would you describe the recoil, is it manageable?
Little recoil for me and I’m pretty petite with small hands.
How does it fit your hand, are the controls of this gun easy to use? (Safeties, slide pull, magazine release, trigger pull, etc.)
This gun has no negatives for me. I work with this gun at home, empty of course, and practice my draw, handling, field stripping it. If you practice handling your gun you get more comfortable handling it every day. My instructor also told me that the more you practice handling your firearm the more you have a smoother motion to releasing your magazine etc.
Do you like the sights on this gun?
My instructor told me to practice with the sights that came with the gun. Now my eyes getting older as they usually do being 54. But he said don’t get a laser for the simple fact that at night if you are sleeping and an intruder is there he/she will be able to spot you right away. So I am determined to use the sights that came with my Glock 43x.
How reliable is it?
All Glocks are reliable. I am a Glock gal.
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
None. The only problem with ammunition, it actually finding 9 mm to buy.
Was it easy to take down and clean?
Very easy to clean and put back together. My dad was an army ranger and taught us how to dismantle and put back together in the dark.
Is there anything you dislike about shooting this gun?
There is nothing that I dislike about my Glock 43x.
For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?
I highly recommend that you go to a mom-and-pop gun shop. Handle a bunch of guns in all different sizes. You will know the right one that fits and feels just right in your hand. It’s great to have people recommend a certain brand and model—however, it has to feel right in your hand.
Would you recommend this gun? If no, do you have a preferred gun?
Yes, I would recommend this gun to look at in the gun shop. But bottom line you each person has to make their own decisions about which gun is best for them. I know I made the right choice and love my Glock 43x. NOTE: also make sure that you get a good holster too.
